Hi @Nick,
Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum and sharing the detail.
By default, Microsoft 365 blocks email notifications to external users for security reasons, which is why your current setup doesn’t allow sending alerts outside the organization.
To enable notifications to an external user, you’ll first need to share the SharePoint folder with them so they are added as a guest user in your tenant. Once they accept the invitation, Power Automate will recognize their email. To allow this setup, your admin can follow these steps:
- Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center: https://admin.microsoft.com
- Navigate to Settings > Org settings > SharePoint > Sharing
- Ensure external sharing is set to “New and existing guests” or “Anyone”, depending on your organization’s policy.
Once the external user accepts the folder share, you can create or modify your Power Automate flow to send notifications to that guest.
I'm sorry, my current knowledge is limited to Office 365. To ensure you receive accurate advice regarding Automate, I recommend visiting Microsoft Power Platform Community Forum Thread where experts can provide the best guidance. However, once the external sharing is enabled and accepted, you should be able to include the guest email in your flow setup.
