Dear @TSOAdmin,
Welcome to the Q&A Community.
Thank you for sharing your concerns. Based on your description, I'd like to offer the following insights and recommendations to help address the issue.
First, please ensure you're signed in with a role that has permission to manage conferencing settings, typically a Teams Administrator or Global Administrator.
In the Teams Admin Center, navigate to: Meetings > Conference Bridges, then select Bridge settings at the top. Review the list of assigned numbers and their classifications.
Important:
- Only service toll numbers can be set as the default. Toll-free numbers are not eligible.
- Dedicated numbers (specific to your organization) can be fully managed, while shared numbers may have limited configuration options.
- Microsoft may automatically assign a default number based on your organization's country or region.
If the Teams Admin Center doesn’t offer the option you need, you can try using PowerShell for advanced configuration:
Set-CsOnlineDialInConferencingTenantSettings -DefaultServiceNumber "<Phone Number>"
You can try this workaround and update us. If the issue still appears please feel free to let us know and we will keep assisting you. Please know that we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we strive to support you. We are here to help. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.
