Clarification required for end of support for Dynamics 365 App for Outlook

Hello!

Would someone be able to clarify what the end of support for the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook means please?

Will emails from my contacts within Dynamics still track as before? And from 1st October the only part that will stop will be the creation of new contacts in Dynamics directly out of Outlook?

    Good day! Welcome to Q&A forum!  

    I'd be happy to clarify what the end of support for the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook means for you.  

    Starting October 1, 2025, the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook will no longer let you create or track new contacts from Outlook into Dynamics 365. After this date, if you need to add a new contact, you’ll have to do it by creating the contact within Dynamics 365 itself, rather than through Outlook.  

    However, all other features of the Outlook-to-Dynamics integration remain unaffected. Most importantly, email tracking will still work exactly as before. Any emails to or from your Dynamics 365 contacts will continue to be tracked in Dynamics 365. You can keep using the Outlook add-in to track emails, appointments, and tasks to Dynamics 365 records just as you do today.
