Dear Emma Yates
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand how inconvenient and frustrating it can be to lose access to your Microsoft 365 account, and I truly regret the trouble this has caused. Based on my research, you can either remove yourself from the old organization’s tenant or contact your former company’s IT department for assistance.
If your organization allows users to leave external organizations on their own, follow these steps:
- Open your Organizations page (see the steps in What organizations do I belong to).
- Under Other organizations you collaborate with (or Organizations if you don’t have a home organization), find the organization you want to leave and select Leave.
- When prompted to confirm, select Leave.
If you see a message after selecting Leave that prevents you from leaving, you’ll need to contact the organization’s admin or privacy contact and request removal from their tenant.
For more details, refer to this Microsoft documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/external-id/leave-the-organization
I hope this helps clarify your situation and guides you toward regaining access to your accounts. If anything is unclear or you need help with the next step, feel free to reach out, I’m here to assist you through the process.
