Hello, I purchased a new IPhone and the authenticator app does not show my personal email/live365 linked accounts. I can not sign in because I have 2 factor authentication on and while I was, for a time, able to receive text codes I could not log it. I am desperate to regain access. I still can use the account from another linked device, iPad, but I can not access permissions, etc to turn off 2 factor or change pw. Is there any way to get actual customer support?

    Dear Ryan Priest

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A

I am sorry for what you have met, and I am understand that your login problem on your new iPhone brought an inconvenience for you.

In this situation, you could consider trying some troubleshooting below:

    • If you previously enabled backup on your old iPhone or iPad, you could restore your Authenticator accounts on your new iPhone:
      • Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new iPhone
      • Tap “Restore from backup” at the bottom of the screen
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account used on your old device
      • Your saved accounts (including 2FA codes) should reappear

For your reference: Restore account credentials from Microsoft Authenticator - Microsoft Support

    • If backup wasn’t enabled, you’ll need to manually recover access to your Microsoft account:
      • Go to the Microsoft Account Recovery Form
      • Enter your personal email (Gmail) and follow the prompts
      • Provide as much detail as possible—past passwords, Xbox Gamertag, services used, etc.

If you still cannot access your account through the above method, I would suggest you contact our online agent to check the account status for you.

Please use an available personal Microsoft account to contact an online agent:

    1. Click on this page Contact Us - Microsoft Support, type "Account & Billing" to search and click "Sign in to contact support" at the bottom of the page.
    2. Sign in to another available Microsoft account. Make sure you log in with your personal account.
    3. Under Products and Services, select "Other Products".
    4. Under Categories, select "Manage Account Security" and click Confirm.
    5. Click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

Moreover, if you still have access on your iPad, try going to https://account.microsoft.com/account?refd=copilot.microsoft.com&ru=https%3A%2F%2Faccount.microsoft.com%2F%3Frefd%3Dcopilot.microsoft.com&destrt=home.landing&pageName=Accountand:

    • Turn off two-step verification (if possible)
    • Add a new trusted device or phone number
    • Update your security info to help with future recovery

Hope it will help. Kindly update for me if you need further assistance.
