What could be causing my Samsung S22 to automatically open Microsoft Edge and start playing random YouTube videos when I plug in the charger?

Are you saying that when you charge your Samsung S22, Microsoft Edge (installed on the device) automatically launches?
If so, try the following steps:
Open the Settings on your Samsung S22.
Tap Apps, then select Microsoft Edge from the list.
Enable the option “Remove permissions if app is unused.”
Tap Battery, and set it to Restricted.

I tried this and discovered that the toggle switch for my "remove permissions..." is grayed out, will not allow it to be activated.
Completed recommended steps, had not resolved the problem
