Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome won't open.

If renamed the file location exe, it worked.

Could you please assist?

To better understand the issue, could you please confirm the following

    1. What exactly happens when you try to open Microsoft Edge or Chrome? (e.g., no response, error message, or crash)
    2. Is this happening with any other applications, or only with Edge and Chrome?

    Thank you for the update!

Do you have any third-party antivirus software installed? If so, please try temporarily disabling it and check if the issue still persists.

Additionally, I recommend running the System File Checker (SFC) and DISM tools to repair any corrupted system files. You can follow the steps provided in the link below: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e

Thank you for the update. Since this seems to be a widespread issue, reporting it directly to Google can help them identify and resolve the problem more quickly. It’s helpful to know that renaming the executable resolved the issue temporarily and that you've already ruled out antivirus interference.
