    Dear Aung Phyo,

To deploy an upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 using WSUS (Windows Server Update Services), follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition:

Step-by-Step Guide to Deploy Windows 11 via WSUS

    1. Check System Compatibility

Before deploying, ensure all target devices meet the Windows 11 hardware requirements including TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, and supported CPUs.

    1. Enable Windows 11 in WSUS Console

    Open the WSUS Console.

Go to Options > Products and Classifications.

    Under Products, check:

    Windows 11

*Windows 11 Client, version 22H2 and later, Upgrade & Servicing Drivers*

Under **Classifications**, ensure *Upgrades* is selected.

      Click **Apply** and **OK**.

More details are available in this guide by Prajwal Desai.

    1. Synchronize WSUS

    In WSUS Console, right-click Synchronizations.

Select Synchronize Now to fetch the latest Windows 11 updates.

    1. Approve the Upgrade

    Go to Updates > Upgrades.

    Look for:

    Windows 11, version 22H2 x64 2023-09B

*Upgrade to Windows 11 (business edition) en-us x64*

Approve the appropriate upgrade for your target group. If unsure, start with the newer version and test on a pilot group.

Details on choosing the right upgrade are discussed in this Spiceworks thread.

    1. Configure Group Policy (Optional but Recommended)

Use Group Policy to configure Windows Update settings:

Enable Specify Intranet Microsoft update service location.

Set *TargetReleaseVersion* and *ProductVersion* if you want to control upgrade timing.

    1. Monitor Deployment

Use WSUS reports or event logs on client machines to monitor upgrade status.

    • Ensure clients are checking in and downloading the approved upgrade.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Domic Vo
