Thanks for reaching out! That “Network Controller Code 28” error means your laptop is missing the driver needed to connect to the internet—frustrating, I know. Let’s get you back online. Here’s what you can do:

    Step-by-Step Fix

    1. Identify the Network Adapter:
      • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
      • Expand Network adapters and look for any device with a yellow exclamation mark.
    2. Download the Correct Driver: Since your HP Laptop is a 15-fd0xxx model:
      • Go to HP’s official support site.
      • Enter your full model number (you can find this by pressing Windows + R, typing msinfo32, and checking “System Model”).
      • Download the latest Wi-Fi or LAN driver listed under “Network”.
    3. Install the Driver Manually:
      • If you downloaded the driver on another device, transfer it via USB.
      • Run the installer and restart your laptop.
    4. Use HP Support Assistant (Optional):
      • If you can get online via Ethernet or USB tethering, download HP Support Assistant.
      • It can auto-detect missing drivers and install them for you.
Let me know if the issue persists after following these steps. I’ll be happy to assist further if needed. If the issue has been resolved, kindly mark the response as answered.
