Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.
It sounds like you're trying to remove a photo you previously uploaded as a background in Microsoft Teams. I’m happy to guide you through the process.
Currently, Teams doesn’t offer an in-app option to delete uploaded backgrounds, but you can remove them manually by following these steps:
- Close and sign out of Microsoft Teams.
- Open File Explorer and go to: C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads
- Delete the images you no longer want.
- Restart Teams. The deleted background will no longer appear in your background options.
And these're steps to change or remove background before and during a meeting:
**Before a meeting: **
- Go to your Teams calendar and select a meeting.
- Click Join.
- On the pre-join screen, select Video effects.
- To blur your background, click the dropdown next to Blur and choose Standard blur or Portrait blur.
- To use a background image:
- Select one from the available options, or
- Click More video effects > Add new to upload your own (.JPG, .PNG, or .BMP).
Note: If you don’t see these options, the feature may not be supported on your device.
During a meeting:
- In the meeting toolbar, select More actions (⋯) > Video effects and settings.
- Choose Video effects.
- Select a Teams background or click Add new to upload your own.
- Use Preview to see how it looks before applying.
- Click Apply to confirm.
I hope this helps you get the assistance you need quickly and effectively!
