new word software is clumsy

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this. You may try the below and see if this will help out or ease the trouble that you are having.

Try to make the table column adjustments easier

• Tap inside the table and then tap the small Layout icon on the top menu.
• Use the numeric width option instead of dragging and see if this helps out.
• Zoom in before dragging column borders and see if this also helps out.

Try to avoid losing entire words when correcting

• Go to Settings then Word then Keyboard and turn off Predictive Text if it is auto replacing text incorrectly or unconsciously.
• Use the undo arrow on the top left if Word deletes much of the words and see if it will restore the last change without losing formatting.
