Hello Janet. Currently, Microsoft Bookings does not provide a built-in mechanism to require appointments to be manually accepted prior to posting your Outlook calendar. When a booking is made, by default, it will automatically be confirmed and syncs to your calendar so that you don't have to review a booking. If you are interested in implementing manual approval, you can use Power Automate.
In Power Automate, you create a flow that triggers when a booking is made, it will send an approvals request, and post the appointment to your calendar when you approve it. Alternatively, you can alter the Bookings settings to provide less availability or to allow buffer time in-between bookings to provide you with a cushion of time to review appointments before confirming. While this isn't truly "manual approving", it still can help mitigate unwanted appointments.
