Edge no longer is able to add text boxes on PDFs cleanly

Just 2 days ago, Edge was my go-to for opening PDFs and taking down notes in class as it allowed me to 1. add handwriting & text boxes cleanly & 2. surf the web for concepts I wasn't sure about, all in the same browser. With the latest update, the add text box function no longer works like it used to:

  1. The text boxes used to work fine like this:image

Now, they cut off occasionally and seem to 'embed' itself onto the page once I exit editing the text box. When I open the PDF using adobe acrobat, it prompts me with the message "The font 'AAAAAA+MicrosoftYaHeiUI' contains bad / Flags."User's image

Are there any fixes to this? Will Microsoft patch this in the next update? If so, when will that be?

Thank you.

    Hi,

When you open a PDF in Edge, do you see the Adobe Acrobat logo in the lower-right corner? If so, check if disabling this Adobe integration resolves the problem. To do this, type edge://flags in the address bar and press Enter. Search for the edge-new-pdf-viewer flag, then set it to Disabled. You’ll be prompted to restart the browser and once it restarts, check if the problem is solved. If it doesn't work, then it's likely a bug and all we can do is to report it by pressing Alt+Shift+I.
