Hello, I have had this Surface Pro 9 for a little under 2 years now, and I have never had any issues with it until recently.

My screen has been glitching and flickering when in full screen on my streaming services, and there is no longer a power or restart button in my settings or power area, only a "lock" option. It is honestly stressing me out so much because I genuinely believe that these two issues are related.

I am a student and I downloaded Lockdown Browser a while ago in order to take exams at home. I took a test, and my screen completely froze and would not do anything, so I factory restarted my laptop to complete my test, and it has never been the same.

I tried going to the registry, like I have seen on a few other posts as "solutions," but I do not have any of the same links in my registry. Only like "default" over and over again. I am really starting to stress out because this surface is the only thing that I have left for my schooling and I am literally a senior, so I have a ton of online work to complete.

    Hello Murphy,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft community, I'm really sorry you're dealing with this, especially during such a critical time in your studies. first is make sure your system is fully updated,

Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates after that check your Display Driver, Go to Device Manager → Display adapters then Right-click your graphics driver (likely Intel Iris Xe) → Update driver

If that doesn’t help, try Uninstall device → Restart → Windows will reinstall it.

let me know if it works by replying to this thread.

    Cheers,

    Jay Mark
