My Azure SQL dbs are down and I need Azure Suppport

Hello
My sites are down and I cant place a ticket to get ahold of Azure Support
I have two SQL databases down in the East Region without any notice of maintainace

May be you don't have a proper support plan. To be able to connect with Microsoft support you will need at least one of the below support plan-

BASIC - NO Technical Support

DEVELOPER - Business hours access to Support Engineers via prioritized responses on Microsoft Q&A
STANDARD - 24x7 access to Support Engineers via email and phone

Is this in East US region? It seems there is an outage going on right now since a couple of other people have reported their database is down as well.

If you navigate to your Azure SQL Database in the portal and on left click on Help -- Resource health blade, does it give you any more information?

If you have Standard support plan (or upgrade to it) you can create Severity A (<1hr response) support case via the portal.

Depending on the nature of the outage you may be able to restore your database to the latest restore point. You could go ahead and test to see if you can restore and if that works switch over to the restored database. You may try this by navigating to your Azure SQL Database and clicking Restore at the top.

After looking this over
it looks like the whole server is unaccessible and the resourece health isnt reporting any issues and yes its in the east us region

I am having the same issue, also in East US. There was a Resource Health issue listed, but it now says resolved, yet the issue persists.

Issue: My Azure SQL dbs are down and I need Azure Support.

Resolution: As mentioned earlier, your SQL database went down due to the East US region outage. Our internal team mitigated this issue, which is why your database is now back online.

So the issue was an East US region outage and that’s why my databases were down. Glad it’s back now, but honestly this is really frustrating. The Azure Status page hasn’t been updated in months, which makes it basically useless in situations like this. Customers shouldn’t have to dig through community threads just to find out there was an outage.

If Azure expects people to trust and depend on its services, then the bare minimum is keeping the official status page accurate and up to date. Anything less leaves us in the dark when critical workloads go down.
