Hello,

I’m experiencing a persistent issue with the Copilot memory feature. Despite multiple attempts to enable memory, it remains off and does not function as expected.

Here are the details:

•  I’ve tried enabling memory on Copilot Web, the MacOS Copilot app, and the Copilot app on my Samsung Galaxy S23.

•  In each case, I’ve gone into settings and toggled memory on, but Copilot continues to behave as if memory is disabled.

•  I’ve confirmed that I’m signed in with the same Microsoft account across all platforms.

•  I’ve restarted the apps and devices, cleared cache where applicable, and ensured all apps are updated to the latest version.

This issue is affecting my ability to use Copilot effectively, and I’d appreciate assistance in resolving it. Please let me know if there are any diagnostics or logs I can provide to help troubleshoot.

Thank you,

    Hello @Yianni A

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Q&A and informed us about the issue. Per the latest update, the memory feature in Copilot start rolling out in July 2025 as a staged release. Since it's generally available on Copilot now however, Microsoft still deploying the feature across eligible accounts and to different regions. Therefore, even with a Microsoft account and with the correct settings, your account or region may have not been eligible for this feature just yet. In the meantime, please try these methods:

    • Open Copilot settings and check for a Memory section, if not showing then your account may still be in rollout queue
    • Open Copilot in different browser/platform: Memory feature could be showed up in the Windows app or Mobile app

Unfortunately there is no exact date for the Memory feature to be eligible world wide/per user but the rollout has already started, the feature should be updated on your Copilot soon.

    Dear Microsoft Copilot Team,

I’m reporting a memory issue that began for me on August 21, 2025. Until then, Copilot’s memory was working reliably—I had enabled it in settings, and it successfully recalled past conversations and facts I asked it to remember.

Memory isn’t just a feature—it’s part of the foundation that supports Copilot’s long-term value. I hope this issue is treated with the urgency it deserves.

    Sincerely,

    Arnaud
