Hi @cpaoletti,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Community and sharing your experience.
The error you're seeing - PrefetchFailure (RenderListDataAsStream (TimeoutExceeded)) - is a known issue that typically occurs when trying to access files or lists in Microsoft Teams or SharePoint Online, especially when the data load exceeds certain thresholds or the connection times out.
You can try these suggestions to fix it:
1. Clear Microsoft Teams cache (for desktop app)
- Quit Microsoft Teams entirely (right-click the Teams icon in the system tray → Quit).
- Open Run (Win + R), enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and OK.
- Delete all files and folders within that folder.
- Restart Teams and sign in again.
2. Try another browser or use InPrivate / incognito mode
For web access issues, switching browsers or using private mode helps isolate cache or cookie problems:
- Clear browser cache and cookies.
- Try Teams in another browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).
- Use InPrivate or Incognito mode to rule out extension or profile interference.
3. Disable third-party cookie blocking (especially in Chrome)
- Click the padlock icon in the address bar
- Go to Cookies and site data
- Allow third-party cookies for Microsoft domains
4. Use desktop app instead of web
If you're accessing files via Teams Web, try switching to the Teams desktop app, which handles file rendering differently.
