My Microsoft Edge will not open to full size. I can see it is open in the bottom app bar but it will not enlarge to full size so I can use it. My computer did an auto update last night and now I am having the problem. I have tried rebooting, unplugging, reinstalling, doing a modify but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions???

Hello Tracy. For Windows 11 users on some systems, the problem where Microsoft Edge opens to a restored window size when it is supposed to fill the screen, but it appears as an active in the taskbar, is a known bug related to the new updates, especially the August 2025 cumulative, KB5063878 update. It is common for this behavior to be caused by corrupted window state data, or possibly incorrect display settings or Edge being launched off-screen due to multiple monitors.

To fix it, you can first make sure the window is truly off screen and try pressing F11 to toggle full screen mode. If that does not work, right click on the Edge icon in the taskbar, hold Shift, and click Maximize. Another option is to simply close Edge while it was maximized by holding Shift and clicking X in the corner which will force Windows to remember the window size for next launch. If you continue to have issues, you can navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find Microsoft Edge, click Advanced Options, and select Repair. This will repair corrupted components without deleting your data. If the Repair option fails, you can select Reset which restores Edge to its default state while preserving your favorites.

Please let me know if you have furhter questions.
    Best regards,
