Windows security flagged an .exe file that looks like it came from a folder for an old game I installed (need for speed Porsche unleashed). I don't recall the exact place I got this file from but it was likely from a Discord server run by this reddit under: https://www.reddit.com/user/ChemicalFl00d/.

WS indicates it removed a Trojan:Win32/Nfpatch file called C:\Users\Joshua Alexander\Games\NFS5\NFS - Porsche Unleashed - CHECK _INSTALL FIRST\config.exe, this is the folder where I had the game on Aug 7.

After aug 7, if I recall right, I removed all the files from that folder because I couldn't get it working on windows 11.

On Aug 11 late at night I ran a full virus scan and the protection history indicated that there was an incomplete remediation to remove the following file: C:$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-1335302342-1975896781-2969917118-1009$RE4GI5Z\Config backup\config.exe

On Aug 12 at 730pm, when I was not using my computer, it indicated it removed the same threat from the same location.

I removed the threat and ran an offline scan and it came back with no threats detected. I ran another full scan and it also came back with no threats detected.

Could anyone answer why the threat was found in that strange file location in my recycling bin and should I take more action regarding this and does anyone believe I may actually have a virus? One important note is that I would have had this file on my computer for a very long time and would have run scans before and I never noticed anything previously...
