Phantom Keyboard Layouts

Hello.

My system has two extra keyboard layouts that cannot be deleted from the Windows settings. I believe this is a bug.

The layouts can be found in the image below. I expect only one English keyboard layout (US), and one Persian keyboard layout. However, I see three English keyboard layouts and one Persian keyboard layout (so two extra English layouts).

I have configured two input languages under Settings > Time & Language > Language & region, under the language section.

Under the language options for English (Canada), I have only 1 layout.

There is no way for me to delete the UK and Canada English keyboard layouts.

Please let me know how I can resolve this problem. I have had only 1 extra keyboard layout for about a year. I noticed that the UK layout was added just recently.

Thanks.

    Open the old Control Panel

At the top of Control Panel, set View to Icons

    Select Region

Select the Administrative Tab on the resulting dialog

Click Change System Locale in the 'Language for non-Unicode Programs' section

Set the language in the drop down to the same as the System location/Language.

    .

Open the Settings App, then go to Time & language - Language & region

Scroll down and select Administrative language settings

On the Administrative tab click the Copy settings button

Enable 'Welcome screen and system accounts' and also New user accounts

    Save that setting.

Restart (not shut down) the PC

If the English US keyboard remains after performing those steps, try installing that keyboard manually, restart your PC, then uninstall that language.
