Surface Pro 4 is compatible with the Type Cover model 1725, which was specifically designed for it. While model 1709 works with the Surface Pro 3, it often fails to function properly on the Pro 4 due to firmware or driver incompatibilities. If both models work on a Pro 3 but not on your Pro 4, it may be due to outdated firmware, hardware issues, or connector problems. Updating your device and testing with a confirmed working Type Cover 4 may help resolve the issue.
