Support Plan Upgrade Request for Azure Architecture Assessment

Current Situation: Our company currently holds an Azure Basic support plan. The team requires Microsoft to provide an assessment of our Azure environment’s design and architecture.

Issue: The Basic support plan does not include architecture or advisory assessments.

Request: Recommend the minimum-cost support plan that allows the company to request a formal architecture/design assessment from Microsoft.

Additional Observations:

Upon reviewing the Azure Support Plans Comparison page, I found that:

  • Standard Support Plan provides general guidance and is suitable for production workload environments.
  • Developer Support Plan offers general guidance, which is suitable for trial and non-production environments.
  • Professional Direct Support Plan includes guidance from a pool of ProDirect delivery managers, making it suitable for business-critical dependence.
  • Unified Enterprise Support Plan offers comprehensive coverage for Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and other Microsoft technologies, with all services included.

Question: While the Unified Enterprise Support Plan provides comprehensive coverage, is the Professional Direct Support Plan sufficient for our needs?

Question: What exactly does "general guidance" entail in the context of the Developer and Standard Support Plans?

    HI,

    You can go for Professional Direct Support Plan as well but please not that Advisory tickets are limited in count.

    If you want more details with discounted price you should create a ticket in azure with your existing plan, Usually microsoft give discount on support plan based on your current usaged of azure subsription and other Micrrosoft SAAS/PAAS products.
