I receive a 'Microphone access required' notification when trying to message Co-Pilot using voice capabilities. While it sometimes works, I frequently encounter this alert, despite having the correct microphone settings in Teams. Can anyone help me resolve this?"

    Hi @Gaughan, Alice

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

If you've already configured your microphone settings correctly but still receive notifications to enable the microphone when in Microsoft Teams, I'd like to ask a few quick questions to better understand your situation and assist you more effectively:

Can you clarify that whether your account is a personal account or a work/school account provided by your organization/institution?

Does this issue occur on The Microsoft Teams desktop app, or The Microsoft Teams web app (in a browser)?

If you're using a work/school account, does this issue also affect other users in your organization?

If you're using the web version of Teams, please ensure that your browser has granted microphone access to teams.microsoft.com.

If you're using the Microsoft Teams desktop app, please follow these steps to verify microphone access:

1.Open your device settings and select Privacy & security

2.Under App permissions, select Microphone.User's image

3.Turn on the Microphone access toggle.

4.Turn on the Let apps access your microphone toggle.

5.Turn on the Microsoft Teams (work or school) toggle.

6.Turn on the Let desktop apps access your microphone toggle.

7.Close all apps and restart your device.

I'm sincerely sorry for the inconvenience that you've encountered. But I need to know more about your situation so I can help you better. I appreciate your patience and are here to help. Looking forward to your response
