    Hi 29Rassam, Taymoor

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

Have a good day and I hope you're doing well!

I came across your post about the trouble you're experiencing with Outlook on your school-issued MacBook, and I wanted to reach out personally. I completely understand how frustrating it must be to sign in successfully but then have the app fail to load, especially when it works fine on your phone. Issues like this can disrupt your schoolwork, and I'm here to help troubleshoot and get this resolved as quickly as possible.

To start narrowing down the problem, could you please try accessing your school Outlook account via the web version? Simply go to outlook.office.com in your web browser (like Safari) on your MacBook, sign in, and let me know if it loads properly and runs smoothly without any issues. If it works fine on the web, that would suggest the problem might be related to your configuration error in the Outlook app itself.

If both the web version and the app fail to load: This could indicate a broader issue with your network connection on the MacBook (such as school firewall restrictions, VPN settings, or general connectivity problems). In that case, here are some steps to try:

    1. Check your MacBook's network status: Go to System Settings > Network and ensure you're connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet without any errors.

    2. Test with a different network: Switch to a hotspot from your phone (as you mentioned it works on your phone) or another Wi-Fi source to rule out school network issues.

    3. If the problem persists across networks, it might be a device-specific restriction, consider contacting your school's IT support for help with any managed settings on the MacBook.

In the meantime, a few additional quick steps you can try to diagnose and potentially fix this:

    1. Check for Updates: If your Outlook app isn't on the latest version, please open it and go to Help > Check for Updates. Updating to the newest version often resolves loading issues like yours.

    2. Remove and Re-Add Your Account: This can clear any cached data that's causing the problem. In Outlook, go to Outlook > Setting > Accounts, select your school account, click the minus (-) button to remove it, then add it back by clicking the plus (+) button and signing in again. Let me know if this allows the app to load properly.

To help me scope down the issue further, could you please reply with the following details?

    • Your macOS version (you can find this by clicking the Apple menu > About This Mac).
    • Your Outlook version (in the app, go to Outlook > About Outlook).

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I realize the initial response may not fully resolve the issue or capture the situation accurately. I’d greatly appreciate any updates or additional suggestions you can share.

Once I have more information from you, I can provide more targeted advice or escalate this if needed. Feel free to reply to this email with any updates or additional details. I'm committed to getting this sorted out for you.
