Can you have business standard and premium licenses on the same tenant?

Is it possible to have in the same tenant some users with Microsoft 365 business standard while having other users on Microsoft 365 business premium? The goal would be to keep most employees on business standard to keep costs low. For employees with more sensitive information such as accounting, HR and important roles, we would put them on business premium to use the security features.

    Hi @Yan Savoie,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Regarding to your question, yes. You can have both Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Business Premium licenses within the same tenant. You can visit the Marketplace in your Microsoft 365 Admin Center and choose the licenses that best suit your organization’s needs.

Yes, you can mix and match. You can even consider Microsoft business basic if the employee does not need a desktop/laptop copy of Microsoft Office and can use Microsoft Office Web.
