    Hi,

Since it’s a shared calendar, the issue is likely due to permissions or a sync glitch. Check with the calendar owner to confirm you still have “Can edit” rights, as updates may have changed access. If you do, try deleting the event in the Outlook desktop or mobile app instead of the browser, or remove and re-add the shared calendar link.

    Regards,

    Hey there!

Nice to meet you! I'm Randy, an Independent Advisor.

Hi Lancashire, If deleted Outlook calendar events keep coming back, it’s usually caused by sync issues or limited permissions. First, check if the event is from a shared or subscribed calendar (like work, school, or holidays), since you may not have rights to delete it permanently. If it’s your own calendar, try deleting the event directly in Outlook.com on a browser, then refresh or re-sync if you’re also using the Outlook app on phone/desktop. Clearing your browser cache or removing and re-adding the account can also help stop events from reappearing. Are you mainly using Outlook in a browser.

    Best regards,
