    Hi @Hohenberger, Rebecca

Good day to you! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with your Microsoft Teams presence status not updating to "In Office."

To better assist you, could you please let me know which troubleshooting steps you've already tried? This will help me narrow down the scope and identify the most suitable solution for your situation.

In the meantime, here are several detailed steps that are commonly associated with this issue.

    1/ Reset your status

Sometimes, a manual reset can resolve stuck or incorrect statuses:

    • Click your profile picture in Teams.
    • Select your current status.
    • Click “Reset status.”

    User's image

    2/ Clear Teams cache

Corrupted cache files can interfere with status updates. Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

    To clear your cache:

    • For Windows:
    1. Quit Teams completely (including from the system tray).
    2. Open File Explorer and go to:
      %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
    3. Delete contents of these folders: Cache, blob_storage, databases, GPUCache, Local Storage, and tmp.
    4. Restart Teams and sign back in.
    • For MacOS:
    1. Quit Teams completely (right-click > Quit).
    2. Open Finder, press Command + Shift + G, and go to:~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams
    3. Delete folders like:
Cache, blob_storage, databases, GPUCache, Local Storage, tmp
    4. Restart Teams and sign in again.

    3/ Run a connectivity test

Presence status in Teams is often tied to calendar events and Outlook integration. You can run a Teams Presence Based on Calendar Events test using the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer:

    4/ Outlook integration

Presence status also relies on Outlook. If you use Outlook, try removing and re-adding your profile:

    • Open Outlook > File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles.
    • Remove and re-add your profile.

    5/ Check for updates

Ensure your Teams app is up to date:

    • Click the three dots (More options) in the top-right corner.
    • Select Check for updates.

Looking forward to your response, I’d be happy to assist further.
