Created a workflow in the Teams channel for BlueGreen deployment

We are currently implementing a Blue-Green deployment workflow in the teams channel->workflow and encountering an issue where the promotion step (from blue to green) times out prematurely. The workflow is designed to wait for manual approval before proceeding, but the approval trigger is happening too quickly, not allowing sufficient time for a decision to be made.

We would like to request support in configuring the workflow so that:

The timeout duration for the approval step is extended.

The workflow properly pauses and waits until manual approval is explicitly granted before continuing.

Please advise on how to adjust the timeout settings or implement a blocking approval gate that aligns with our deployment strategy.

This is related to Microsoft Teams-> workflow-related, wherein workflow properly pauses and waits until manual approval is explicitly granted before continuing.

    Hi @Rajkumar Murugesan

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
From my perspective, this is how to extend timeout and block until approval within Teams workflows.
Please make sure you’re using Start and wait for an approval
    User's image

In the Settings of this action () > Settings >Timeout > Modify duration using ISO 8601 format.
    -P1D = 1 day
    -P7D = 7 days
    -P30D = 30 days

This ensures the workflow pauses until a decision is made.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if I’ve misunderstood your requirements.
