Having the same issue. I found that Left Click and Drag across the photos you want works. Slower and tedious for a lot of photos though.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I've always been able to select multiple photos in One Drive simply by clicking the circle in the upper right hand corner of the photo. Today, no dice. I also tried holding down the control key but that didn't work either. I click and select one photo. Then when I select a second, the first photo is unselected. Running Windows 11, using Google Chrome.
Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,
Thanks for letting me know what’s going on with OneDrive. I totally get how annoying it is when something that used to work perfectly like selecting multiple photos suddenly stops behaving the way it should. You’ve already done a great job trying to troubleshoot it, so let’s build on that and get things working again.
Try These Quick Fixes
Clear Chrome’s Cache and Cookies
Go to chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
Select Cookies and Cached images/files, then click Clear data
Restart Chrome and check OneDrive again.
Disable Extensions Temporarily
Some browser extensions (like ad blockers) can mess with OneDrive’s interface.
Visit chrome://extensions/ and turn them off for now.
Refresh OneDrive and test photo selection.
Use Incognito Mode
Open a new incognito window (Ctrl + Shift + N)
Log into OneDrive and try selecting multiple photos.
Try Microsoft Edge
OneDrive tends to work more smoothly in Edge, so it’s worth a quick test there.
Zoom Out Slightly
Press Ctrl + - to zoom out a bit. Some users found this helps the selection circles behave normally again.
Sign Out and Back In
Click your profile icon in OneDrive > Sign out
Close the browser, reopen it, and sign back in.
Let me know if any of these steps help or if you’d like me to check for service advisories or help escalate the issue. I’ve got your back!
Thanks for checking in! That’s a really common question, and I’m glad you asked.
So here’s the Answer: your PIN and your Microsoft account password are actually two different things.
The PIN is something you set up just for signing into your device. It’s stored locally and is meant to be quick and secure.
Your Microsoft password is what you use to sign into services like OneDrive, Outlook, and your Microsoft account online.
If OneDrive is asking for your PIN, it’s likely trying to verify your identity through Windows Hello. But if you’re signing in through the browser (like Edge or Chrome), it should be asking for your Microsoft account password instead.
What You Can Try
Double-check your Microsoft password
Head to https://account.microsoft.com and try signing in there to confirm it’s working.
Reset your password if needed
Go to https://account.live.com/password/reset and follow the steps.
Use the password for OneDrive web
When signing into OneDrive in the browser, ignore the PIN prompt and use your Microsoft account password.

I can hold down the Ctrl key and select multiple photos at onedrive.com. I'm using the Edge browser. Try clearing your cookies in your Chrome browser.
Edge on Win11. As of today, I cannot select more than one image in Onedrive. I've cleared my cache, closed my browser, logged out and back in.
