Hi @Jenni B,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with us. I understand how frustrating it can be not being able to access your saved passwords after the forced migration.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- Check your account sign-in
- Please make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft Account (personal or work/school) that was previously used to store your passwords.
- Verify Sync settings
- In Microsoft Edge, go to Settings > Profiles > Sync and ensure that Passwords are enabled.
- If they already are, try turning Sync off, sign out, sign back in, and then enable Sync again.
- Check the Microsoft Password Manager
- Your passwords may have been migrated to Microsoft’s Password Manager.
- You can review them here: Microsoft Password.
- Clear cache and restart
- Sometimes the data doesn’t load correctly until the browser cache is refreshed.
- Clearing cache/cookies and restarting Edge may help.
- Update Edge
- Go to Settings > About Microsoft Edge to make sure you’re running the latest version.
If you’ve gone through these steps and still don’t see your passwords, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support directly so they can investigate your account migration details:

Hope this helps, and please let us know if you’re able to get your passwords back after trying the above.
