Bluetooth issue windows 11

Hello,

Since Monday, August 11 my Bluetooth devices of my entire computer equipment, Cherry mouse, Plantronics headphones, and Logitech mouse&keyboard have stopped working, both the old ones that were already paired and the new ones. I can't pair new devices; they don't appear. The problem affects all my users, regardless of their Windows version. I thought I had found the problem and isolated it to the update to version 24H2, but I also have the problem on 23H2. I can't find the cause, but I imagine it's a Windows update. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/3881806/critical-bluetooth-connectivity-issues-after-windo?utm_source=chatgpt.com

I uninstalled all the drivers, reinstalled them, made changes to the registry, attempted a system restore, but nothing worked. The PCs in my network are crashing one after the other. I checked my GPOs just in case, but there's nothing wrong there. We use the Sentinel One security tool and there are no Bluetooth restrictions, only restrictions on USB ports. We haven't updated anything on our network. I'm feeling a bit desperate.

Have you ever encountered this problem ?

Thank you for your help and suggestions.

    Hi Mathieu Da Costa,

I hope this message finds you well.

    Summary of the Issue

    From what you've described:

    • Bluetooth devices (Cherry mouse, Plantronics headphones, Logitech mouse/keyboard) stopped working across your entire fleet.
    • Affects both previously paired and new devices.
    • Occurs on both Windows 23H2 and 24H2, suggesting it's not isolated to a single build.
    • You've already tried driver reinstalls, registry edits, system restores, and GPO reviews.
    • SentinelOne is in use, but no Bluetooth restrictions are configured.
    • No recent network-wide changes.

You're absolutely right to suspect a Windows update, especially given the timing and the growing number of affected systems.

    Recommended Actions:

            **Review Known Issues from Microsoft**

    • The link you shared points to a confirmed issue affecting Bluetooth after recent cumulative updates.
    • Microsoft is investigating, and a fix may be pending. You can follow the thread here. Temporary Workaround
      • Some users have reported partial success by:
        • Disabling Bluetooth LE Enumerator in Device Manager.
        • Rolling back the most recent KB updates (e.g., KB5039302 or similar).
        • Restarting the Bluetooth Support Service and setting it to Automatic (Delayed Start).
      Check for Conflicts with SentinelOne
      • While SentinelOne doesn’t block Bluetooth explicitly, it may interfere with low-level drivers or services.
      • Try temporarily disabling SentinelOne on one test machine to rule out interference.
      Use Windows Feedback Hub
      • Encourage affected users to submit feedback via Windows Feedback Hub. This helps escalate the issue internally at Microsoft.
      Monitor Microsoft Update Catalog

    Additional Suggestions

If the issue is critical and persistent, consider pausing updates via GPO or Intune until a fix is confirmed.

For urgent use cases, a USB Bluetooth dongle with its own driver stack may bypass the issue temporarily.

I hope my answer is useful for you.

    Warm regards,

    Quinnie Quoc.
