I am using Windows Server 2019 Standard, but I don’t have a purchased Retail/MAK license key. My system is activated with a public Microsoft KMS client setup key (the kind Microsoft publishes for evaluation and volume licensing). Normally, Windows Server Evaluation or KMS activation gives 180 days of validity, but after updates or when I try to rearm/reactivate, I sometimes only see 10 days of renewal instead of 180.

    Hi there,

I'm Cherrelyn and I'm here to help.

If your Windows Server 2019 Standard is using a KMS client key, the usual 180-day rearm may sometimes show only 10 days after updates or repeated activation attempts. This happens because the evaluation or rearm counter has already been partially used. To reset the full 180 days, the system generally requires a fresh rearm cycle or clean reinstallation of the evaluation version.

I hope this will help and if you have any question please feel free to ask.

    Warm regards,

    Cherrelyn
