CART Captions not displaying in Teams with URL API Ingestion code

We are trying to use Teams exclusively for our business meetings which need to be closed captioned for accessibility. Recently the API generated ingestion code is not working with Teams Meeting. The CART Captioner is given the ingestion code and puts it into a third-party software, Streamtext. The captions are not displaying in Microsoft Teams. Through troubleshooting we found that the text will display if the RTT Realtime Text option is flipped on in Meeting Options in Teams, however this causes every line to show with the Captioner's meeting name and the line of text next to it. Additionally if the captioner puts in a code to change paragraph, it results in putting another line of the same, the captioner's meeting name with a colon and then the text they are captioning.

This leads to confusing readability and in turn in a meeting participant types in a question as a result of the RTT setting being on, it intermingles their text with the captioner's text and leads to a very jumbled display.

In talking with Nick at Streamtext, who helped develop the Microsoft Teams CART Captioner feature, he suggested I report this is a display error to Microsoft.

    Hi @AmandaMarvin,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forums and thank you for sharing the details of your issue.

I truly understand how important CART captioning is for accessibility and communication, and I’m sorry to hear that it’s not working as expected in Microsoft Teams. I appreciate your patience while we try to assist.

As a Microsoft moderator, my ability to test and troubleshoot third-party integrations like StreamText is limited. However, I’ll do my best to guide you toward the right support channels.

To help improve Microsoft Teams and raise visibility of this issue, I encourage you to submit feedback through the Microsoft Feedback Portal. This helps our product teams prioritize and investigate recurring problems.

Additionally, while Microsoft support has limitations when it comes to third-party troubleshooting, you may consider reaching out through Unified Support. This channel connects you with Microsoft engineers who can troubleshooting and assist you further.
