Hi Syed Phoenix
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
To better assistance, could you please provide detail information:
- What type of account is affected? (Microsoft 365, Exchange, or something else)
- Do you see any error messages when sending or receiving? If yes, please share the exact wording or a screenshot.
- Can you access the problematic mailbox via Outlook on the web?
- When did the issue start? Were there any recent password changes or updates?
- Is the account added as the primary account or an additional account in Outlook?
- Is this account part of your organization or a personal account?
- Are you using New Outlook or Classic Outlook?
In the meantime, I recommend some steps below:
- Test via Outlook for web:
- Sign in to the account using Outlook web version.
- If it works there, the issue is likely with the Outlook client.
- Disable Add-ins & Test in Safe Mode: Start Outlook in Safe Mode (Outlook /safe) to rule out add-in conflicts.
- Repair Outlook Application
- Navigating to Settings => Apps =>Installed Apps => then looking for Outlook, click to three dots button => Advanced options
- Navigating to Settings => Apps =>Installed Apps => then looking for Outlook, click to three dots button => Advanced options
- Clear saved credentials: Go to Control Panel > Credential Manager and remove any saved Microsoft credentials which related to the problematic account.
- Create a New Outlook Profile:
- If repair fails, create a new profile:
- Control Panel => Mail (Microsoft Outlook) (if you view by Category, please change to Larrge/Small Icon to see full options)
- When Mail Setup Opens, click Show profiles
- At Mail profile settings, click Add, then give the profile name and click OK
- On the Add Account page, enter your name and the email address you wish to add to the new profile. Then type and retype the password for the email and click Next.
- If Outlook is able to connect to your email, it will setup and add the profile to outlook. On the final page, click Finish. The new outlook profile will become available in your Mail Profile
- Authentication & Password:
- If prompted for credentials repeatedly, reset the password and re-authenticate.
- For Microsoft 365 accounts, ensure Modern Authentication is enabled.
