Please try these suggestion:
- Clear cookies/cache or use a private/incognito window to rule out old session data.
- Switch the mailbox view to “classic” or “new Outlook” (if available) and try again sometimes the toggle works only in one interface.
- Temporarily disable add-ons/extensions in the browser that could interfere with saving settings.
- If none of that works, it’s likely a server-side glitch on Microsoft’s end in that case waiting and retrying later usually clears it up.
It’s not an account-level block since the IMAP toggle is visible, so the issue is more about Outlook web not committing the change properly.
