ADO - TF401256: You do not have Write permissions for query Shared Queries.

Unable to create shared queries in Azure DevOps - TF401256: You do not have Write permissions for query Shared Queries.

I have project collection administrator and project administration permissions.

Go to Azure DevOps -> Boards -> Queries -> All -> Shared Queries -> Click on 3 dots -> Security -> Check your user or group like Contributors, Project Administrators -> Ensure you have set Allow to all the permissions.

If there is a Deny anywhere, it overrides everything, so remove it.

And Go to Project settings->Permissions->Search the permission group like Contributors -> click the tab Members and remove your account. Then you could create new shared query.

Ensure you must have Basic Access level or higher and member of the Project Administrators group.

Go to Organization Settings -> Users -> Check the Access level and Under Organization Settings, go to Permissions -> Check if you are part of Project Administrators group.

Go to Organization Settings -> Users -> Check the Access level -> Ensure you must have Basic Access level not Stakeholder.

As per your 1st and 2nd screenshot, ensure all the groups and users' permissions are set to Allow for Shared queries.

If someone set Deny at the root Shared Queries folder or inside a subfolder, it will override your Allow. so, check all parent folders.

After permission changes, log out, clear cookies, or try in a private browser window. Sometimes membership changes take a few minutes to propagate.
