we have a 365 Family account and I cannot use it to restart my excel program that has expired

How do I change the email on the purchased account tothe one I have to renew the account

It sounds like the subscription was renewed under a different email than the one you’re currently signed into Excel with. That would explain why it still shows as expired.

The subscription itself can’t be moved from one Microsoft account to another, but you can fix this by making sure you sign in to Office with the same email that the Family plan was renewed under. Here’s what you can do:

• Open Excel (or any Office app).
• Go to the top right corner and check which account you’re signed in with.
• If it’s not the email you used to renew your 365 Family plan, click Sign out and then Sign in with the correct email.
• Once signed in with the right account, the subscription should be recognized and Excel should activate again.
