Check App Permissions
Make sure Microsoft Teams has permission to access your camera:
- Go to System Settings > Security & Privacy
- Under Privacy, select Camera
- Ensure Microsoft Teams (work or school) is checked
Adjusting Camera Settings in Teams on Mac
Click your profile picture (top right) > Settings
- Go to Devices
- Under the Camera section, select your preferred camera from the dropdown
- Choose Open Camera Settings (if available)
- Look for options like:
- Automatically adjust camera controls
- Adjust brightness
- Soft focus
- Green screen
- Preview video feed
Note: If your camera feed appears upside down and no rotation option is available within Microsoft Teams, it may be necessary to use a virtual camera application - such as OBS Studio or Snap Camera - to adjust the orientation before the video is transmitted to Teams.
