Hi,

I have my keyboard set to US English, which is the default in Australia. But each time I restart it reset it to UK English (some keys have different layouts).

I can change it back by switching the little icon in the right side of the taskbar but often forget and wonder why @ symbols are coming out as ".

I've looked through the Time & Language and Language & Region configs, but there is no setting to set the keyboard (all other settings are set to English (Australia)).

Is there a way I can permanatly set my keyboard to US English?

    Hi, good day!

When was the last time it worked properly? Have you made any changes to your computer recently?

Please check the methods below if it helps.

    1. Press Start then search Control Panel

Click Region > Administrative tab > Change System Locale

Set the language in the drop-down list to the same as the System Language

    1. Press Start then search Control Panel

Click Region > Administrative tab > Copy settings

On the bottom, Check both options "Welcome screen and system accounts" and "New user accounts"

    Click OK

    Restart your computer.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed.
