I recently became aware that Microsoft was ending Speaker Coach and I simple don't understand why.

This feature is amazing and super helpful, I've grown so much my public speaking skills that I'd pay out-of-pocket to have it.

Please bring it back!!!

    Hi @Lucas, Pedro,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your interest in the Speaker Coach feature in Microsoft Teams. We understand your disappointment upon learning that Microsoft has decided to discontinue support for this feature—a tool that has effectively helped many users improve their public speaking skills.

Here are the details regarding the discontinuation, available alternatives, and how you can send feedback directly to Microsoft:

According to Microsoft’s official announcement, Speaker Coach was discontinued due to:

    • Low usage rates during the Preview phase.
    • Insufficient user feedback to justify a broader rollout.
    • Overlap with other tools such as PowerPoint Speaker Coach and Meeting Coach.

    Alternative Options You Can Use:

    1. PowerPoint Speaker Coach
      • Still fully supported on Windows, Mac, web, and mobile.
      • Provides AI feedback on speaking pace, filler words, tone, inclusive language, and body language.
    2. Meeting Coach in Teams (when using PowerPoint Live)
      • Offers real-time feedback while presenting PowerPoint in Teams meetings.
      • Post-meeting reports are saved in the “Details” tab.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the removal of Speaker Coach in Microsoft Teams. I truly understand and empathize with your disappointment over the discontinuation of such a useful tool.

As a forum moderator, I am not directly involved in the development of features or applications. However, if you would like to share your thoughts with Microsoft, you can do so via the official feedback portal at:

     https://feedback.microsoft.com

Once there, you can create a post to share your opinions and experiences with Speaker Coach. This not only ensures your feedback is heard but also allows other users with similar concerns to engage and support your post.

When a post receives high engagement, Microsoft is more likely to take notice and reconsider its decisions. In the past, some features have been retained or reinstated thanks to strong community feedback.

In this case, I recommend marking this response as “Mark as Answer.” Doing so will automatically pin this post to the top of the discussion thread.

Since many users in the Microsoft community are looking for similar information, marking this answer will help them quickly access the official feedback channel and other helpful details.

Your contribution not only benefits you but also supports the broader community of users who care about Speaker Coach. Thank you for sharing and being part of the conversation!

Once again, thank you for your input. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out—I’m always here to help!
