Azure VM - Error logging in via RDP. Code 0xd07

The error shown "Error code: 0xd07", indicating "the user account has been locked because there were too many logon attempts or password change attempts. This is a protective measure to prevent unauthorized access due to repeated failed logins.

This is a Windows security feature that temporarily locks an account after multiple failed logins attempts or password change attempts. This is to prevent brute-force attacks. Please wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to log in again. Repeated immediate attempts may extend the lockout.

If you have admin privileges, you can reset the user’s password through the Azure portal (“Reset password” under VM settings) or via another admin account using Remote Desktop or PowerShell.

If your VM has been the target of an attack, it may be a good idea to redeploy the VM to avoid using compromised resources. Be very careful when enabling features like RDP and be sure to use strong username/passwords if you are not using SSH.
