Hi @Liz Downer,
Good day to you! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Thank you for reaching out. I understand that your supervisor has granted you editing access to her calendar, but you're currently unable to make changes. I’d be happy to help you troubleshoot this issue.
1/ Permission Level
- Your supervisor may have shared her calendar with view-only or limited permissions by mistake.
- To allow editing, she must assign you the “Can edit” or “Delegate” permission level.
How to check:
- Your supervisor should go to Outlook > Calendar > Share.
- Select your name and ensure the permission level is set to “Can edit” or “Delegate”.
2/ Delegate Access vs. Sharing
- If your supervisor wants you to manage meeting requests on her behalf, she must set you up as a delegate via:
- File > Account Settings > Delegate Access in Outlook desktop.
3/ Using the Correct App
- Editing permissions work best in the Outlook desktop app or Outlook on the web.
- If you're using a mobile app or third-party calendar tool, editing features may be limited or unsupported.
4/ Sync Issues
- If you're using Outlook desktop, ensure your account is properly synced.
- Try restarting Outlook or signing out and back in to refresh permissions.
Notes:
1 - Ask your supervisor to:
- Reconfirm the permission level she assigned to you.
- Use the Outlook desktop or web app to update sharing settings.
2 - Try accessing her calendar via Outlook on the web at https://outlook.office.com to see if editing works there.
3 - If the issue persists, please contact your IT support team to:
- Verify that calendar sharing and delegate access are enabled for your account.
- Check for any policy restrictions that may be affecting calendar permissions.
