USB device manager keeps refreshing on windows 10

My device manager refreshes about every 2-3 seconds. I believe this started after plugging in a USB to jack type of connection so I could connect my bass guitar to my computer. I have removed the connection from my computer and it is still causing issues. The USB port itself works fine and I can plug in other devices which work without issues. However device manager continues to refresh while my pc is on. I have tried looking for faulty drivers and reinstalling drivers from my motherboard (Mag z790 tomahawk wifi) but it did not fix the problem. I even downloaded USBLogView and did not find any unusual connect/disconnect activity in the logs. Can anyone give me advice on how to find the reason why device manager keeps refreshing.

    Hi, good day!

When was the last time it worked properly? Have you tried uninstalling your USB drivers in Device Manager?

    • Please try to run SFC and DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/using-system-file-checker-in-windows-10-365e0031-36b1-6031-f804-8fd86e0ef4ca

    • Perform a Clean Boot of Windows

Determine whether a background program or a software conflict is causing the issue.

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: msconfig

    Press Enter

Select System Configuration > go to the Services tab.

(Important) Select and make sure to put a check mark on "Hide all Microsoft services"

    Click Disable all.

Go to Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all the unnecessary services running there. Restart your computer.

Please check the support article at the link below for more details.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed.

I managed to fix my issue. After looking around on a similar post I turned my computer off and unplugged all USB port connections. I only had my keyboard plugged in opened device manager and noticed the issue went away. After plugging in all of the connections again one by one I noticed plugging in my webcam in the last remaining port caused the issue again. I unplugged the webcam and back in to verify it was the problem and I stopped having the issue. I'm assuming one of the ports or specific device was the issue but it sort of worked itself out.
