Good day @Snehal Gaware
Welcome to Q&A forum!
Regarding your concern about not being able to paste a large amount of copied content into PowerPoint:
"Sorry, the copied content is too large, try reducing the size or number of slides, or use a lower resolution and try again."
I’d like to clarify a few details to ensure we’re on the same page. This will help me provide the most accurate and helpful response to your issue:
- What type of content is being copied? (e.g., text, images, charts, multiple slides, or content from another app like Word or Excel)
- How many slides or how much content is being copied at once?
- Is the content being copied from another PowerPoint file or a different source?
- Are you using PowerPoint on the web or the desktop version?
You can send me a screenshot or describe more about this issue so I can understand your needs better for further assistance.
I also found some potential ways for you, please take a look and let me know if these steps can help your situation.
First please try copying fewer slides or sections at a time. If you're copying from Word or another app, split the content into smaller parts.
1. Duplicate your Powerpoint file
If this is the case, you can try to duplicate the File in File Explorer.
- Locate your PowerPoint file (.pptx) in File Explorer.
- Right-click the file and select Copy.
- Right-click in the folder (or another folder) and select Paste.
- Rename the copied file if needed.
- Remove unused slide masters or layouts.
2. Use Paste Special
Use Paste Special to reduce formatting load and help PowerPoint handle the content more easily:
- Go to the Home tab.
- Click the drop-down arrow under the Paste button.
- Select Paste Special.
- If you're pasting "text", choose "Unformatted Text", this strips out formatting and makes the paste lighter.
- If you're pasting images or charts, choose Picture (Enhanced Metafile), this helps PowerPoint process the content more smoothly.
3. Save Content as a File and Insert
- If you're copying images or formatted content:
- Save it as a .png or .jpg file.
- Use Insert -> Picture to add it to your slide.
4. Compress the Attachment Before Pasting into PowerPoint
- Open the Source File
- Compress Images (if applicable)
After that, you can insert the images instead of Paste
