Teams app not updating and refreshing

The Teams application requires daily data clearing to function properly. After initial use, it allows access to conversations but stops updating and refreshing after a day, failing to load new messages and other content. What could be causing this issue?

    Based on your description, it sounds like the app may be encountering issues with background syncing or cached data. Below are a few steps that typically resolve this behavior: 

    For Android: 

    1. Clear App Cache 
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Teams > Storage  User's image
      • Tap Clear Cache (avoid "Clear Data" unless necessary)  User's image
    2. Enable Background Activity 
      • Settings > Apps > Teams > Battery → Set to Unrestricted  User's image User's image
      • Settings > Apps > Teams > Mobile Data & Wi-Fi → Enable Background Data  User's image User's image
    3. Update the App 
      • Open the Google Play Store, search for Microsoft Teams, and tap Update if available. 
      • If you're already using the latest version of the app, the Open button should appear.  User's image

    For iOS: 

    1. Enable Background App Refresh 
      • Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh 
      • Ensure it's enabled for Microsoft Teams  User's image User's image
    2. Allow Cellular Data 
      • Go to Settings > Cellular > Show All and ensure Teams is enabled  User's image User's imageUser's image
    3. Update or Reinstall the App 
      • Visit the App Store, search for Microsoft Teams, and tap Update  User's image
      • If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app
