Hi MKH,
Thanks for raising this issue. This behavior has been reported by several users across Microsoft Learn and Tech Community forums. It appears to be related to how OneDrive dynamically packages multiple files into a ZIP for download, which can sometimes fail due to service-side limitations or browser-related issues.
Recommended Workarounds
Zip Files Before Uploading
Instead of downloading multiple files directly:
Compress the files into a .zip archive locally.
Upload the .zip file to OneDrive.
Share or download the .zip file directly.
Use “Add Shortcut to OneDrive”
From Tech Community:
Right-click the folder you want to download.
Select “Add Shortcut to OneDrive.”
Go to your OneDrive, right-click the shortcut, and select “Download.”
Create a Temporary Folder
Another workaround:
Create a new folder in OneDrive.
Copy the files or folder you want to download into this new folder.
Download the new folder instead.
