It has the intel smart sound tech. for bluetooth and usb but it seems that before the reboot the Asus X515 laptop had a realtek (i forgot the rest) driver was there and its not there and in the other devices theres this intel high definition audio has the warning symbol. When i use USB-c headphones the sound works but when i remove it it says no speakers or headphones are plugged in and both mic and speaker does not work. When i clicked it get help opened but it said Try again later, something went wrong in our end. Were working on it.

    Hi, good day!

When was the last time it worked properly?

Have you made any changes to your computer recently?

Please let me know if you have tried the methods below.

    • Run the Troubleshooter

    From Sound Icon

Right-click on the Speaker/Headphone icon in the taskbar of your PC.

    Select "Troubleshoot sound problems"

    • Please try to run SFC and DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files.

    • Open Device Manager

Click View > Show hidden devices

Expand the Sound, video and game controllers

Find the Intel High-Definition audio driver in the list

Right click it and select Update

Click "Browse my computer for driver software"

Select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"

Make sure to put a check mark "Show compatible hardware"

Select an older driver from the list

Click Next then Restart your computer

If the issue persists, what is the exact model of your ASUS laptop?

Press Start then search System Information. Please take a screenshot of the resulting window and post it in your next response. Note: Don't include any personal information and sensitive data as Microsoft Q&A is a public forum.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed.
