I got my academic status verified, but I still can't access Azure student benefits

Hi! I got my academic status verified to create an Azure for student account through the form on this site https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/students/ , but I still can't access the student benefits in my Azure portal. I did get the "congratulations! your academic status has been successfully verified.", yet the option "access student benefits" is not there, and there is no active subscription going on. I tried to reach out to support through my azure portal, but I keep getting this error message that prevents me from reaching the support team. When I follow the instructions to sign in again through the error message, I receive a new error. Please take a look at the screenshots. It seems like there is no way for me to reach azure support without signing in. Please help me. The only support I could reach out to was https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact/education but they say they couldn't help me with this case.

I did follow these steps:

  • sign out from all ms-related sites
  • opened an "in private" window in Edge
  • created a new private email
  • used that email to sign in to create an azure student account
  • used my school email when filling out the verification form
  • received the verification link in my school email inbox, and followed the steps to get my academic status verified
