    Hello refund on my subscription

    Welcome To Microsoft Q&A Forum

I understand the frustration caused by unexpected charges on your subscription and wanting to get a refund or clarification about a free subscription.

Here are some steps that you can kindly follow to help resolve this issue:

    1. Verify the Charge
      • Sign in to your Microsoft account at: Microsoft Services
      • Check which subscription was renewed and confirm the billing date.
    2. Cancel Recurring Billing
      • On the same page, select Manage next to the subscription.
      • Choose Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing to prevent future charges.
    3. Request a Refund
      • Kindly visit Microsoft | Billing & Orders
      • Find the order you were charged for.
      • Select Request a refund or Report a problem.
      • In the description, explain that you believed it was a one-time deal and did not authorize renewal.
    4. If Support Is Not Responding
      • Use the official support link: Microsoft | Contact Us
      • Select Billing & Subscriptions → Refunds & Charges.
      • Choose Chat or Request a call for faster escalation.

    NOTE:

    • If you cancel within 7 days of renewal, you usually qualify for a full or prorated refund.
    • Refunds typically take 3–5 business days after approval.

Would you like me to draft a strong escalation message you can copy and paste to Microsoft Support to speed this up? Or should I guide you on how to check if the subscription is linked to another account.

Thank you for your patience, please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance.

When you sign up for a trial subscription, it will be converted to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial period is over. You can check the status in your account at https://account.microsoft.com . To cancel your subscription, turn off recurring billing first.
