I recently completed the student ID verification process, after which I was prompted to enter my personal details including address and organization. Unfortunately, I mistakenly entered the wrong company name during this step. Now, the system is not allowing me to update or correct the company name, and it's showing that I'm not eligible based on the incorrect information.

I would appreciate guidance on how to resolve this issue and update my company name correctly so my eligibility can be reassessed.

Hi, once you submit the verification form the fields are locked; if a wrong “company/organization” name made you “not eligible”, you can’t fix it in the portal—you need the verifier to reset your application so you can resubmit with the correct info.

What to do (pick the case that matches what you signed up for):

Azure for Students (SheerID): contact SheerID support and ask them to void/reset your Azure for Students verification so you can re-verify with the right organization name. Include the email you used, the wrong value, and a copy of an acceptable school document. After they clear it, start the Students signup again with your school email.

Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub: in the Founders Hub portal go to Help & Support → Contact support and ask to reopen/reset the application (or edit your Startup profile if they allow it). Then correct the company name and resubmit.

If you only mistyped the billing/commerce profile name, you can edit it in Cost Management + Billing → Billing profiles → Edit profile (this does not affect program eligibility).
